I was the child who after getting a good telling off (my parents are West Indian, so rest assured that I got a good telling off), I would sit down and pen a letter to my folks to explain
a) why the telling off was unnecessary
b) why whatever I was told off for was not my fault
c) and how being told off made me feel.
Safe to say my letters had the desired results – my parents ended up apologising to me for telling me off! Yup, I’ve always had a pretty persuasive way with words, even as a kid

For the last eight years I have been the Ask the Expert columnist and features writer for Confeti Magazine – Spain and Gibraltar’s largest wedding publication. Writing on a variety of subjects and focusing on my specialty area of wedding ceremonies.
Wedding Blogs
I am the founder and editor of the award winning wedding blog, Engaged & Ready, one of the first and only wedding blogs to concentrate on wedding ceremonies and real talk surrounding getting married. From weight loss to mindful mindsets, Engaged and Ready covers it all. In 2015, Engaged and Ready was awarded as one of Cosmopolitan Magazine’s top ten wedding blogs and in 2016 was voted Best Bridal Real Talk in the prestigious Wedding Magazine awards. Engaged and Ready has a monthly audience of 10-12,000 visitors, visiting mainly from the USA, UK and Australia, as well as the rest of Europe too.
I’ve also featured as a writer on top UK and US wedding blogs such as A Practical Wedding, Love My Dress, Nu Bride, Bridal Musings and the Bridechilla Podcast, using my expertise of the wedding industry to share with their varying audience bases.
